Everything You Need to Know About Tech Week!

It is the beginning of excitement, craziness and of course, magical moments as we head into the home stretch! Below is the schedule and tips to get you through smoothly.  It is A LOT of information, please read carefully!

  •  Dress and Tech Rehearsals are CRUCIAL to your child's performance and they are MANDATORY!

  • Dress Rehearsals are with makeup and costumes as well as stage crew - cast photos will be taken during dress rehearsal

  • Tech Rehearsals are makeup, costumes, microphones, lights, crew

  • Students are to report to the Cast Room beginning Tuesday March 21. The Cast Room will be Room 7, the 1st classroom next to the cafeteria. Backpacks are to be left outside the room.

  • Students are scheduled to arrive 2 hours prior to performance times. This is crucial to get them in costumes, makeup and microphones on time.

  • Make sure your student wears the undergarments they will wear under their costume to school for Dress & Tech rehearsals as well as performances.

  • Non-messy foods, snacks and plenty of water should be provided from home. Rehearsals are long and kids need fuel!    Please provide an oversize button down shirt to protect your child's costume while eating.

  • Entertainment is great for down times such as books, electronics, cards. Be sure to label anything brought from home with their name and cast. Check to make sure your student has all their belongings each day to take home. **we reserve the option to ban electronics if students are distracted enough to not listen to adult or crew direction

  • Pickup from rehearsals and performances will be at Room 7. We appreciate your

flexibility with pick up times, sometimes things can unpredictably run late.

Plan to meet your child there and please be patient as we make sure each child            is checked out safely.  Our Cast Room volunteers will be doing their best to make           this process efficient.

                                                   Expected Behavior for Students

Students are required to stay in the Cast Room or outside on the lawn area unless they are called for makeup, using the restroom or are called to the stage.

Students MUST follow all directions given by adult volunteers as well as our youth crew.

Students should not touch other's belongings without permission.

Students should show respect towards others, the occupied space in the cast room, production equipment and props/set items.

Cast Room Supervisors will let Sue and Nancy know of any behavior issues.  We will determine action on a case by case basis. Please note that if a child cannot follow the rules in the cast room you may be asked to supervise them during their performances or they will not perform their next show.

The goal is for an amazing experience for ALL cast members and volunteers.
